Why is Shaw American Utilizing
SuranceBay for Your Contracting and Appointments?

SuranceBay is the life insurance industry standard for contracting and appointments. It is used by over 500,000 producers nationwide and has over 55,000 agent contracts submitted monthly. SureLC is their multi-carrier contracting platform you will access to get contracted and appointed. Click a link below, either “Already have a SuranceBay SureLC Account?” or “New to SuranceBay Sure LC?” and follow the prompts. We provided a list of the  prompts you will see, so you know what to expect. As always, if you prefer, contact us, and we will gladly walk you through this process or complete it on your behalf.

Already have a SuranceBay SureLC account and need to add a contract or appointment? (10 minute input time)

  1. Log in to your SureLC account by clicking here.
  2. Click Requests under Contracting on the left menu bar and then select Create Request.
  3. Select which carrier you wish to be appointed with and select Contract. Then select Next to continue.
  4. Select the product type(s) you would like to sell, and the state(s) where you would like to be appointed with the carrier. (The only states listed are those where you currently hold an active license.) Your resident state is tagged with a house icon. Then select Next to continue.
  5. If there are any training requirements, they will be shown at the top of this page. If this information is missing and is required, it will have to be entered before you will be able to proceed. You may use the Training Concierge to have SureLC automatically retrieve training information from the available providers. Select Next to continue.
  6. When E&O coverage is required, and no policy information has been added to the producer profile, it can be added here. Review the information shown, make sure the requirements have been met, and then select Next to continue.
  7. Review all the carrier questions and provide answers, as necessary. Required questions are shown in red. Once all the required questions have been answered, select Next to continue.
  8. On this final step you must review the completed forms. Scroll ALL the way down to the bottom of the page to enable the Apply My Signature button. Select the button to continue.

Note: Some carriers may have an additional Signature step that requires you to Review and Sign additional forms. Follow these same instructions on that page, if applicable.

New to SuranceBay SureLC and would like to set up and register your account?  (5 minute input time)

  1. If this is your first time using SuranceBay, click here to register your new account. Input your SSN, Last Name, DOB, and email address to create your account. After entering your DOB, the system will check the NIPR database to make sure you are a licensed producer.
  2. Next, you will receive a confirmation email at the address entered as your Login ID. The email will be sent from setup@surancebay.com. Locate the email and select Click Here link to activate your account and complete the account registration process.
  3. At this point, you will be redirected to the following password creation page, and here you must create your login password. Enter your password and re-enter it in the fields provided making sure to follow the security rules.
  4. The first time you log in, you will need to review and accept the SureLC SaaS Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. Select the checkbox and click Accept Policy to continue past each screen.
  5. Once logged in, use the menu on the left to enter your information.
  6. Yellow dots mean that information is missing but IS NOT REQUIRED to make a request.
  7. Red dots mean that information is missing and IS REQUIRED to make a contract request.
