The eSignAssist Program is an exclusive system provided by Shaw American to help advisors submit contactless applications and give them assistance to satisfy electronic signatures. The program was designed to provide a flexible array of services so the proposed insured will have the most seamless application process for the diverse carrier new business workflows.
The eSignAssist Program consists of three processing options you may choose from depending on your preference and the size of your case. Regardless which option you choose, Shaw American’s underwriting team will shepherd the case through the carrier’s underwriting process.
Please select one of the following options and complete the accompanying form.
- Utilize the carrier’s online process, with Shaw American’s assistance. (No minimum premium) Carriers prefer this system, because the application is submitted in accordance with the carrier’s workflow, arrives in the carrier’s inbox in less than 10 minutes, and in most cases it is available for underwriting review in just 2-3 days. Many cases qualify for accelerated underwriting and are approved immediately. The cases that do not qualify for accelerated underwriting will have additional requirements requested right away. - Utilize the concierge service and complete a full application over the phone with one of our staff. (Minimum $5,000 annualized premium) This is a great service for larger cases, that may involve 3rd party ownership, or have an impaired risk element. Not only will a Shaw American staff member help you and your client complete an application in a contactless manner, over the phone, Shaw American will also order a prescription drug check and assist the client in downloading their medical records using Human API, if requested. In addition, our staff will use our DocuSign account to secure all necessary signatures.
- Complete the application myself, scrub it with a Shaw American representative, and use Shaw American’s DocuSign service to obtain signatures. (Minimum $1,000 annualized premium) For one reason or another, your client may feel more comfortable completing their application with you over the phone. This option provides you with the opportunity to complete an application with them, in a contactless manner, and we will utilize our DocuSign account to help you retrieve all necessary signatures electronically.
